Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Differences
ECE® Exam - 3 Credit Hours
This course will cover content generally taught in one semester of a lower-level undergraduate course in nursing and prepares you to take the Excelsior College Essentials of Nursing Care: Health Differences exam. This course focuses on the application of the nursing process to support nursing judgement for the provision of evidenced-based, patient-centred care. Areas of focus include common health problems related to nutrition, elimination, oxygenation, fluid and electrolyte balance, mobility, activity and sleep and rest. Ethical and legal implications are also addressed in relation to quality nursing care for patients and families across the life span. Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology is assumed for this course as it pertains to the support of nursing judgement.
