Transition to the Professional Nurse Role

This course will cover content generally taught in one semester of an LPN to RN Transition course at the undergraduate level and prepares you to take the Excelsior College Transition to the Professional Nurse Role exam. This course covers the responsibilities of the professional nurse related to assignment, delegation, and supervision. The role of the professional nurse in accordance with the overall healthcare team is also discussed. History of nursing, professional organizations of nursing, regulatory agencies, ethics, laws, health care delivery systems and scope of practice are also addressed.
